Job Description:
Minimum 2 Years' experience in LPN Med Surg:
Genie Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced LPN Med Surg to fill an opening located in Marshalltown, IA with $45/hr. (Taxed+ nontaxed)
Requirements of the LPN Surg:
● Must have AHA BLS/BCLS certification
● Must have valid IA LPN License or Compact license.
● Must have at least 2 years of experience as an LPN Med Surg.

Responsibilities of the LPN Med Surg:
● Shift: Nights (4*12)
● 48 hours/week.
● 13-week contract
● Patient care: Providing direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility.
● Vital signs: Frequently monitoring and recording patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
● Medications: Administering medications, including oral, injectable, and intravenous treatments, as prescribed.
● Wound care: Caring for surgical wounds, changing dressings, and monitoring for signs of infection.
● Patient assessments: Conducting basic patient assessments and reporting findings to RNs and physicians.
● Patient education: Educating patients and their families about post-operative care, medications, and lifestyle changes.
● Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including charts and electronic health records.
● Collaboration: Working closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
● Infection control: Following strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
