Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses (L&D RNs) to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during the childbirth process. The ideal candidates will be responsible for supporting patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the best possible outcomes. This role requires advanced clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to expectant mothers during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages.
- Monitoring: Perform continuous fetal monitoring and maternal assessments, interpreting results to ensure safe and healthy outcomes.
- Labor Support: Assist patients in labor, providing emotional support, pain management strategies, and physical assistance as needed.
- Delivery Assistance: Support physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries and assist with cesarean sections as necessary.
- Education: Educate patients and families about labor and delivery procedures, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
- Emergency Response: Recognize and respond promptly to obstetrical emergencies, such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress.
- Documentation: Accurately chart patient progress, medications, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with facility and legal standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Postpartum Care: Monitor mother and baby following delivery, providing guidance on breastfeeding, bonding, and early parenting.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

3x12 Hr. Days or Nights (Both Shift Options Available)

Pay Breakdown:
$2,736.00 Gross ($1,512.00 Taxable & $1,224.00 Tax-Free) ($76.00/Hr. Blended Rate)
